Dropping In screens at Skateboard Movie Night at The Steynberg Gallery to benefit San Luis Obispo skate park
don's blog - Jun 30 2009 Many thanks to Jack Smith of The Skateboarder's Journal for putting together a cool screening for us on Saturday Night June 27th at The Steynberg Gallery in SLO. Jack is a true champion of sport and an expert on the sport of skateboarding in particular. Hell, he's probably forgotten more about skating than most of us will ever know, so true to form he arranged the screening to benefit some much needed new terrain at San Luis Obispo skate park. Seriously, can there be too many good places to skate? We like the way Jack thinks, and we also would like to help make the world a better place to skate... one skate park at a time, so if you're planning a skate event, or would like to plan one, please drop us a line and we'd be happy to try and accommodate with a screening. Keep on shredding, Don and The Dropping In Production Team

Method Fest 2009 Wrap Up - The Best of the Rest of the Fest
Dropping In Production Team's blog - Apr 10 2009 Plenty of good times were had by all at The 2009 Method Fest, and we'd like to thank festival executive director Don Franken, his devoted crew, all the generous festival sponsors, the City of Calabasas, and Mayor Dennis Washburn for hosting such an enjoyable and well planned event. Thanks to all for emphasizing the FEST in film festival and for supporting the discovery of creative new voices in film.

Durango Film Festival Blog Post Numero Uno!
don's blog - Mar 5 2009 Hello Durango! We're finally here! The bus ride from LA took like 37 hours, but at least we made it on time for our first screening. I gotta admit, this place looks so different in person than it does on the web... flatter for sure. Somebody told me there was skiing here, but I can't even see the mountain. Must be a shuttle somewhere for that. I'll ask the desk clerk at the motel... nice enough guy... even brought a cot in the room for Jason and didn't charge us for the extra person in a single room, which is pretty cool. The TV only gets 5 channels though, and 3 are in spanish. Weird or what?

Dropping In stickers!!! Get 'em FREE... kinda.
Dropping In Production Team's blog - Feb 23 2009 ![]() Everyone loves stickers. Especially skaters. In fact it's an old skater tradition to plaster the bottom of our decks with stickers, or to stick 'em on the tiles of your favorite bowl as you carve a stylish line... lets other skaters know you were there. Yeah, stickers don't suck too bad at all. See we made about a thousand of these stickers to help spread the stoke about our movie at film festivals, but since we're so broke these days (and let's face it, who isn't?) we can't actually attend some of the festivals where our movie is screening (total bummer), so we figured the least we could do was to make these stickers available to you, our loyal fans.

Santa Fe Film Festival Days 4 and 5
Dropping In Production Team's blog - Dec 7 2008 So I missed blogging about day four because I was simply too tired and I fell asleep after a late night of films and parties. So I will combine day four and five into one. Yesterday we saw the films Pound Cake, Line in the Sand, American Gothic, and 2:22. Pound Cake would have to be my favorite of the day. It was original, it took place in the 80's, it demonstrates good storytelling of complex family relationships, the majority of the performances were fantastic, the overall entertainment value was superb, and I didn't find myself checking my cell phone for the time or texts. I have to admit, I really enjoyed 2:22 and the precinct scenes in Line in the Sand . The award ceremony was a little dysfunctional, lights going on and off, wrong clips getting played, trophies being mixed up and lost, but then everyone just played it fast and loose. Despite the setbacks and wrong cues everyone seemed to be rolling with the punches quite well.
