Who doesn't like to skate with tunes? Back in the day my buds and me would skate in a friend's empty pool for like 3 hours straight while a pile of Hendrix, Zeppelin and Traffic albums dropped one after another onto a pioneer turntable in the house, speakers hung out a window, volume cranked... I'm talkin thick, black, 12 inch, vinyl RECORDS! popping, scratching, analog technology. We couldn't believe how cool some of our friend's parents were to let us skate their pools... Now skateparks are everywhere and everyone carries their own efficient little personal digital library of thousands of tracks in their pocket, earbuds snaking up on micro-thin wires... enough music to skate for like 4 days 9 hours 42 minutes and 42 seconds without hearing the same track twice.
Today, I can only skate for like 6 tracks before I'm totally winded and ready to take a nap. Here are those 6 tracks... wake me when the kids are ready to leave.
